Currency:
The currency in Mexico is the Peso. The exchange rate sometimes fluctuates, but 1 US Dollar is approximately $13 Mexican Pesos.
The safest and most comfortable way of handling Money is by using a credit or debit card. You can withdraw money from cash machines, and use them to pay in the majority of establishments.

Health:
Water. You must take care with the water and ice that you consume. Only drink bottled water.
Food. When a place is clean and busy, you can expect that the food should be well prepared.
Medication. Carry the bottle/packet of any medication that you take regularly, it could come in useful if you need to buy an equivalent medicine here.

Safety:
We recommend that while travelling you only carry enough money to cover your daily expenses, leave the rest in the safety deposit box in the Hostel. To avoid the risk of robbery, we suggest you only use cash machines during office hours.

Weather:
Guadalajara has without a doubt one of the best climates in Mexico. It is warm and dry for the most part of the year; the rainy season is between June and September. The temperature stays around 25 degrees Celsius.

Electricity:
In Mexico the electricity current is 110 V and 60 Hz. The sockets are the same ones that are used in the United States. It is recommended that you use adapters which you can buy in the shopping centers.

Taxis:
For your safety try to take taxis from taxi ranks (at airport, bus station etc) and check that the taxi driver has his permit visible with a current date and photograph.
The taxi driver should set the taxi meter at the start of your journey, only charging you for the length of your journey.

Visa & Passports:
Everyone that travels to Mexico should have a valid, current passport. Furthermore, within Mexico is it required to make international exchanges
Citizens of the USA, Canada, Great Britain, European Union, Argentina, Brazil and Chile amongst other countries do not require a visa to enter Mexico as a tourist. As this list can vary, we recommend that you confirm your country’s current situation with your nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate before you travel.

1) Do I need to book?
It’s not a requirement, although we recommend you make one in order to secure your place

2) Is there a kitchen?
Yes of course. We have a fully equipped kitchen and also a barbeque that guests can use in our garden.

3) Do you provide bed sheets?
You can leave your sleeping bag at home; we will provide you with everything.

4) What time is Check-out?
12pm

5) Are pets allowed?
Sorry, due to consideration of the other guests we do not accept pets.

6) How far away from the airport is the Hostel?
We’re a 30 minute taxi ride away.

7) How far is the Hostel from the centre?
We are 10 minutes away by taxi.

8) Is there a curfew?
No, we are open 24 hours a day.

9) Where to keep your stuff?
There are individual lockers in the dormitories and a safety deposit box in Reception.

10) Tequila tour?
Daily Tours and tips from the Staff to enjoy the trip.
